CAP, WOOL, KNIT, M-1941, - Jeep Cap -
A wool knit cap with a visor that was standardized with the "M1 Steel Helmet" by the US Army on November 9, 1941. This cap, which is designed to have both a cushioning effect and a cold protection function is often called a “Jeep Cap" because it was used by soldiers on board the jeep.
